«As part of that commitment, today we announced that we will raise the level of our diplomatic relations with Venezuela,» he said, adding that this decision «will allow us to deepen our cooperation on matters of common interest, including: moving toward a democratic transition, contributing to economic recovery, and continuing to support reconstruction efforts following the devastating earthquakes that have affected so many families and communities».
Likewise, he pointed out that he hopes the United Kingdom and Venezuela «will work even more closely in the coming years».
