The latest dot plot from the Federal Reserve shows that of the 19 officials, 18 submitted dot-plot forecasts (same as in June). Among them, 16 believe there should be another rate hike this year. Specifically, 4 officials think the cumulative rate hikes in 2026 should be 75 basis points (up from 1 in June), 12 officials believe they should be 50 basis points (up from 5 in June), and 2 officials expect 25 basis points (down from 3 in June).
