đ Sep 16 BTC Morning Brief | Traderâs Diary
I stayed up till the early morning watching the Senate vote: the CLARITY Act failed at 49:50. Honestly, the outcome wasnât exactly surprising, but the market reaction was harsher than I expectedâBTC was dumped straight to 74,967, wiping out 3.3% in a single day, with $571M long positions liquidated. This morning I woke up to see ETFs running out $450M, the 10-year Treasury yield breaking 5%, for the first time since 2007.
Yesterdayâs callâreview: â ď¸ The day before, I still thought 78K could hold. But a single red candle punched right through itâ78K became the ceiling, not the floor.
Current setup: Current price 75,788, down 0.9% over 24h. MACD is still in a bearish cross, RSI is hovering around 40, and volume is shrinking noticeablyâthe selloff momentum is fading, but nobody dares to catch the falling knife ahead of the Fed decision.
The most important price level today: 75,000.
Itâs simple: yesterdayâs low was 74,967; todayâs low is 75,350. On two attempts to test the 75K area, they were both bought back. This shows 75K isnât paper-thinâreal bids are underneath. If 75K breaks down convincingly, the next stop is 73K and long confidence could collapse completely. But if 75K holds and closes, and tonightâs Fed meeting comes with âonly +25bp, no tightening add-ons,â a short-term rebound back to 77K is totally reasonable.
My plan: Lightly go long above 75K, with a strict stop-loss at 74,500. No chasing pumps, no adding more. Iâll reduce exposure ahead of tonightâs interest rate decision to hedge risk.
