🇪🇺 the member of the ECB’s Governing Council, Pereira, said on 16 September that inflation in the euro area had not spread as quickly or as widely as it did in 2022, although policymakers are keeping a close eye on developments, particularly due to recent sharp increases in natural gas prices. Pereira said the central bank would closely monitor the situation over the coming months in order to assess whether inflation is spreading.
