First look at product flows—don’t rush to tell the narrative.

On Sep 15 in US Eastern Time, the US spot $ETH ETF total net outflow was about $142.3 million (SoSoValue / BlockBeats citing Farside). This is about the largest single-day outflow since Jan 30, and it also cut off the two-day net inflows starting from Sep 11.

Breaking up issuance flows is more interesting:

1️⃣ Main outflow: BlackRock ETHA about -98 million, Bitwise ETHW about -34.4 million, Grayscale ETHE about -17.5 million, Fidelity FETH about -7.2 million

2️⃣ Still had inflows the same day: BlackRock staking product ETHB about +12.4 million, 21Shares TETH about +2.4 million

Same day $BTC spot ETFs have already been reported at about -4.5 billion; both sides are siphoning money together. But $ETH this side isn't a “full-scale redemption”—it’s the same BlackRock: ETHA is going out, while ETHB is still coming in.

My take: this is siphoning via marginal demand, not a liquidation-style collapse. The CLARITY program proposals didn’t pass, and before tonight’s FOMC statement lands, it’s completely normal for institutions to rebalance through ETF channels. Cumulative net inflows are still on the order of $13 billion—don’t turn a single day of red into a trend headline.

Not investment advice.
