According to Bloomberg, Trump and the asset-management units under his control have carried out:
• Nearly 28,700 trades in 17 months since returning to the White House.
• An average of about 80 trades per session.
• More than the total 22,200 trades by all U.S. congressional members.
Unlike his first term, which mainly involved holding real estate and hard-to-sell assets, Trump’s portfolio has shifted toward stocks, bonds, and crypto.
He is also the only U.S. president in this century who still frequently trades individual stocks. Others typically sell or place assets into trust funds to avoid conflicts.
In addition, Trump has drawn controversy for supporting a bill that limits lawmakers from buying stocks, but the President is not covered by the measure.
