On the other hand, the NU7 vote has just sent a strong community signal: around 2.4 million ZEC participated, exceeding the 1 million effective threshold, and also approaching two-thirds of the snapshot pool. Most voters chose to keep the halving and supported faster blocks and the removal of Sprout.
This doesn’t mean that a negative regulatory narrative has turned into a positive for ZEC. A more reasonable way to look at it is that when the regulatory story fades, ZEC has its own governance events to hold attention. Whether the price can continue to decouple from the broader market depends on whether trading volume can stay supported, and whether ZEC/BTC continues to strengthen.
