Solana activated its Transaction V1 format on mainnet on 15 September 2026, raising the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes. The change gives developers roughly 3.3 times more space for zero-knowledge proofs and large multisig operations in a single transaction.
