🚀 BlackRock, Mastercard, and Visa will support Circle’s new Arc network
Circle (issuer of USDC) has laid a strong foundation for institutional adoption of stablecoins by launching the public Arc mainnet — an L1 blockchain for tokenized assets and global payments.
📊 Key launch details:
➡️ Native USDC integration: Network fees are paid directly in USDC. This eliminates reliance on volatile native tokens and makes transaction costs fully predictable.
➡️ Institutional validators: BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC, Standard Chartered, MoneyGram, ICE, and SBI Group joined the group of founding validators.
➡️ Asset tokenization: BlackRock plans to deploy its BUIDL fund on Arc, while DTCC is exploring tokenization of assets held in DTC.
With USDC in circulation at $73.3B and on-chain transactions totaling $14.8T per quarter, the Arc launch will serve as a direct bridge between traditional finance (TradFi) and Web3 infrastructure.
