Clickbait often writes “the crypto bill was rejected.” A more precise way to put it is:

On 2026-09-15, in the U.S. Senate, the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (H.R.3633) was subjected to cloture on a motion to proceed—that is, the procedural vote to start debate, with a threshold of 60. According to published reports, the vote count was about 49–50, and it failed. This is not the final vote on the entire bill failing, nor does it mean “no progress has been made this year.”

The stablecoin track (GENIUS) has gone its own legislative route—don’t mix CLARITY into the same myth.
