TRON founder Sun Yuchen announced the creation of the Sun Yuchen Prize, saying it will focus only on mathematics. According to ChainCatcher, the prize is tied to problems rather than individuals and has no annual meeting, nomination process, or age limit.

Sun said each problem will have two credited columns: one for the person who proves it and one for the person who formalizes the proof and writes it into machine-readable form. The two roles may be filled by the same person, or by a person, AI, or a person using AI. The prize is triggered only when a machine verifies the proof line by line from the first to the last line without errors.

He also said that if a proof has already been accepted by the mathematics community before machine verification, it may be credited in advance while the prize remains unchanged, with the status listed as "proved, pending formalization." For the proof-side award, only problems solved after they are posted will qualify. If a problem was already solved when posted, the prover will still be credited, but the prize will go only to the person who completes the formalization.

Sun said the problem list and pricing will be decided by him through signature, and once posted, prices can only be raised, not lowered. He added that mistakes in posted problems will still be paid and then reposted, while he will not participate in voting on verification, payouts, or credit allocation beyond pricing.

Sun said the first prize pool has already been deposited on-chain, with the address and balance made public, and that he retains only the right to add more funding. He said winning proofs and prize distributions will also be公开 on-chain, and that the prize is named after a person to avoid renaming caused by institutional changes.
