Don’t worship K-lines! The “golden cross” of $ZEC is digging a $20 million grave for the FOMO chasers

When the giant whale’s long positions begin to get liquidated, retail investors’ FOMO is only just getting started.

Personal view: The 1-hour ZEC is ranging around 1177.93. While the breakout of the Bollinger middle band is a strong signal, I have to pour some cold water on it. The bearish whale Garrett Jin holds nearly $19 million in positions, already down more than $10 million unrealized. On-chain data shows that the ZEC trading pair on Near Intents accounts for as much as 40%—this is purely a token-chips game, not real demand.

Last night, a whale added $2 million worth of long positions around $1,025. Now, at around 1177 this morning, that whale’s unrealized profit is already over $3 million. But the liquidation map shows stop-loss orders for short positions piled up in the 1185–1200 range, totaling nearly $10 million. Once the price holds above 1180, a short squeeze cascade will be triggered—this is the perfect script for a “short-squeeze trap” on the 1-hour chart.

Trading approach:
Long strategy: Lightly enter longs near 1180, target 1250
Short strategy: Short in batches from 1220–1250, target 1080
Core logic: The 1-hour MACD golden cross is still in place, but price-volume divergence is already showing. This is just a short-term play—don’t get carried away.
