Arc Mainnet, USDC begins to enter
Circle’s self-built blockchain Arc has been opened to the public. On-chain monitoring shows that about two hours after the mainnet went live, the network’s balance belonging to $USDC is approximately 371 million coins, with about 176,000 addresses. Circle developer documentation lists Arc in the official cross-chain protocol support lineup, and the official bridge as well as some third-party routing services are already able to point to this network.
This is an increase in settlement channels—not an additional layer of principal protection for more stablecoins. If nodes are willing to come on board, it indicates that institutions want to see whether this chain can handle tokenized deposits and payments; contract risks still reside at the application layer. The listing window overlaps with the same week as legislation and interest-rate deliberations, so the price may not react on the same day—it depends on whether transfers and merchants continue to occur.
