🚨 Garlinghouse: CLARITY Act failure — the result of political confrontation

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse called the failed vote on the CLARITY Act painful and said that what happened requires “uncovering.”

He also used the phrase “anti-crypto army,” referring to the political opposition of the crypto industry. Previously, Garlinghouse had already linked this term to critics of crypto regulation.

📉 The Senate failed to advance the bill: 49–50 against the required 60 votes to end debate.

At the same time, Garlinghouse believes that even without the CLARITY Act, regulators can continue to shape rules for the industry. In particular, he is counting on further action by the SEC under Paul Atkins and the CFTC under Michael Selig.

⚠️ The CLARITY Act has not been adopted yet, and its further fate remains uncertain.
