$AAPLB NASA has just introduced the Artifact InSPECtor project, calling on Internet users to directly view image data from the Euclid telescope to determine which images are truly astronomical and which are errors caused by cosmic rays, reflected light, sensors, or electronic devices. The assessments from volunteers will be used to improve the AI, helping computers more accurately recognize and remove major noise artifacts. NASA said the project can currently be joined via smartphones, tablets, or computers. Data from the Nancy Grace Roman telescope is also expected to be added to the project starting in early 2027.
