Japan's Financial Services Agency has published its 2026 administrative policy for financial affairs, outlining plans to clarify technical, institutional, and regulatory issues around on-chain finance through public-private testing and dialogue while maintaining user protection and financial system stability. According to ChainCatcher, the agency also aims to build financial infrastructure that is both convenient and competitive.
The agency said it will use the development of asset tokenization to shorten and upgrade securities settlement processes. It also plans to establish an on-chain finance forum for the AI era to discuss digital finance, decentralized finance, and the use of AI technology in financial services.
