9.16 Spot Gold (XAU/USD) Morning Outlook

On the hourly chart, the gold price has stabilized after holding at the 4253 low and has since entered a range-bound consolidation. The current price is 4280. The Bollinger upper band is 4309, the middle band is 4288, and the lower band is 4266.

The larger-timeframe bearish trend is still unchanged. What we are seeing now is only sideways consolidation within the low range—do not mistake it for a bottom reversal. Price action has intensified the battle between bulls and bears; wait for direction to be chosen.

Resistance: 4288, 4309; Support: 4266, 4253.

Trading approach:
When price rebounds into the 4290–4310 resistance area, prioritize selling in line with the trend. Targets are 4266. If it breaks lower, continue to look for 4253. Enter with a strict stop-loss.
If the pullback to the 4266–4253 support zone fails to break down effectively, you may consider a small-position long as a short-term bet. The target is around 4285. Move quickly and take profit fast—don’t linger.

Current conditions are low-range consolidation. Price swings back and forth repeatedly—don’t rush to chase trades. Be patient and wait until price reaches key levels before acting $XAU
