Today (9/16) Circle’s Arc public chain mainnet has opened according to plan. The official statement says this is an open platform for financial markets, real-time fund flow, and agentic economic activities; during the private mainnet phase, more than 100 institutions/ecosystems were building, and now it’s officially open to the public.

The genesis validator list is quite institutional: BlackRock, DTCC, Visa, Mastercard, ICE, Galaxy, Standard Chartered, MoneyGram, SBI, Sumitomo Corporation, Global Payments, and others—working with Circle to secure the network. On the fees side, it focuses on paying gas with stablecoins; the starting point is $USDC , and it also emphasizes sub-second finality.

The rollout timeline is laid out fairly clearly as well: BlackRock’s BUIDL is expected to be deployed to Arc, but it’s not saying everything launches in full on day one; in terms of integrating with DTCC for the tokenization of custodial assets, the target looks more like the second half of 2027. Mainnet launch is a milestone, and the rest will still depend on products and integrations gradually coming to fruition. $USDC #Circle #Arc
