🇺🇸 The U.S. will take another step toward creating a bitcoin reserve on September 16
A House of Representatives committee will consider the ARMA bill, which aims to enshrine a strategic bitcoin reserve at the level of federal law.
The document provides for:
- transferring state BTC to the Treasury’s management;
- a minimum storage term of 20 years;
- annual Proof of Reserve and independent audits;
- finding ways to replenish the reserve without new taxes or borrowing.
This is not yet the final vote by the entire House of Representatives. If the committee approves the initiative, ARMA may move to the next stage of review.
