Hut 8 has applied for a nearly $399 million construction project for its Beacon Point AI data center campus near Corpus Christi, Texas. The project involves a data center building of approximately 657,000 square feet, with construction expected to begin on September 28 and be completed in November 2027. The campus has already signed two 15-year leases of 352MW each, for a total contracted capacity of 704MW. The total contract value of the base lease term is approximately $19.6 billion; the initial phase has secured $4.25 billion in financing support. (TheEnergyMag)
