⏳ Bitcoin Halving Countdown: When Scarcity Enters the Countdown, Patience Is the Hardest Card

As of today, the halving countdown page shows that the next halving is expected to occur on March 30, 2028 at 16:52, about 561 days from now. The current block reward is 3.125 BTC, which will drop to 1.5625 BTC after the halving. When the reward per block is cut, what changes isn’t one day’s emotions—it’s the future supply curve.

Many people talk about conviction only during rallies, but forget the logic when the market retraces. The coin-hoarding approach of “Nine Gods” (ahr999) is essentially shifting focus from short-term price swings back to cycles and costs: don’t predict every fluctuation, don’t bet on a single price point, but accumulate in batches within a tolerable range—waiting for time to let scarcity play out. Hoarding coins isn’t an impulsive all-in, and it’s not loan-based gambling; it’s the combination of discipline, cash flow, and long-termism.

History is worth studying. The page records show that after the first halving in 2012, the price moved from $11 to $260; after the third halving in 2020, it went from $3,150 to $68,790. The past isn’t the future, but the trajectory of supply tightening and demand changes can’t be ignored. Buffett’s classic example of holding Coca-Cola long-term also illustrates this: true returns often come from buying a great asset and riding through boring years, rather than constantly chasing the excitement.

With 561 days still left, the market will continue to manufacture fear and frenzy. Ordinary people should first establish position rules: keep enough living expenses as reserves, refuse high leverage, and hold according to plan—buying in stages and keeping for the long run. When time gives you the answer, you’ll be grateful for yourself who wasn’t carried away by noise.

Good night. May we hold on to discipline—and also keep the starlight of long-term believers.
