UNI is currently around $6.65. My cost is $6.006, and my unrealized profit is about 10.7%.
The 4-hour trend looks okay: price is above the moving averages, and the RSI isn’t showing obvious overheating.
But the issue is that when price pushes up into $6.75—$6.80, it will hit resistance. Also, the daily trading volume hasn’t expanded significantly.
So my plan is simple: if it reaches $6.75—$6.80 but the volume can’t keep up, I’ll cut a portion first and put the profits into my pocket.
If it gains volume and holds $6.80, then I’ll continue looking at $7.00—$7.20. If it pulls back, I’ll see whether it can hold around $6.40.
If it breaks below $6.35, the short-term structure won’t look good anymore. As for whether you can hold UNI long-term? I think it can go on a long-term watchlist, but it’s not at the “close your eyes and hold for years” level yet.
Uniswap’s protocol status, brand, and real trading demand are still there. When the DeFi market heats up, UNI also has sector momentum.
But a strong protocol doesn’t automatically mean the token will definitely rise. UNI’s biggest long-term question is: how much of the value generated by the protocol actually ends up returning to token holders?
If it’s just trading volume growth and the protocol is very profitable, but the token can’t capture that value, then UNI may still end up being “a good company, weak price.”
So I won’t go heavy and just hold it to death. A more suitable approach is: keep a long-term core for watching, trim into strength and add on pullbacks in swing trades. And if the fundamentals and the token value-capture logic deteriorate, then I won’t indulge it emotionally.
For this time, I’ll follow the plan first: trim at the resistance level, and reassess after the breakout. After all, only the profits you manage to take are truly yours.
