Botech Auto (02889) said it has received a designation notice from a domestic leading high-end new-energy vehicle OEM and has been selected as supplier for the next-generation overseas model under the customer's flagship brand, according to ETNet.

The company will develop and mass-produce an intelligent cockpit domain controller and AI interaction system based on Qualcomm's 8397 next-generation cockpit chip platform. Botech Auto said the notice is only an intention to start the project and does not amount to a formal supply contract, while actual supply volume and order value will depend on the final agreement and actual orders.

The project covers the customer's first batch of overseas models, and subsequent models on the same platform will also be based on the 8397 platform. Botech Auto said its platform-based design can support multiple languages and regulatory requirements, as well as parallel development and simultaneous mass production across regions including Europe, Central and South America, Canada, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Central Asia, Africa and Oceania.
