CB is pushing so aggressively for a clear bill—maybe they’re still up to something behind the scenes.
In the past, many crypto projects operated like this:
The project team was overseas, market makers were overseas, and exchanges were overseas.
When something went wrong, they’d just say, “We didn’t register in the U.S.”
But once a clear bill is truly established, the logic may change completely.
Going forward, where the project team and market makers are registered might be less important.
As long as you enter the U.S. market, reach U.S. users and U.S. liquidity, or conduct business through U.S. financial infrastructure, you can no longer simply package activities like market manipulation, conflicts of interest, or false information as “overseas market behavior.”
Once you fall under U.S. regulatory jurisdiction, investigations happen, penalties are imposed, and accountability follows—no exceptions.
