What are the large-cap stocks waiting for—worth talking through?

The US stock market sets the pace; today we’ll focus on the linkage.

There’s been plenty going on in the US this week, so let’s go through a few items in time order.

The S&P has pushed higher several times lately but hasn’t seen strong volume. Technically, it looks more like it’s waiting for the earnings window to get a clear direction.

For Nasdaq-weighted stocks, there’s a split: AI hardware is still holding up, while software and consumer electronics show a noticeable drop in volume.

How does this connect to the crypto market? PCE falling → rate-cut expectations heat up → the US dollar weakens → BTC benefits.

What the market is showing: BTC 78750 (+1.90%), with DXY moving in tandem but oscillating.

Right now, it’s suitable to reduce positions over the weekend, then come back once Monday’s open makes the direction clear.

Are the contracts currently still in a wait-and-see mode?
