#BitcoinThirdSingleBlockReorgInFourWeeks Bitcoin has recorded its third single block reorganization in just four weeks, and this is definitely something worth watching. The latest event happened at block height 966500 when two mining pools produced competing valid blocks at almost the same time. The network eventually settled on one chain, making this a short lived reorganization rather than a major disruption.
What makes this interesting is the frequency. One block reorganizations can happen naturally when miners find blocks at nearly the same moment, so this does not automatically mean Bitcoin is facing a security problem. Still, seeing three such events within a relatively short period is a reminder of how closely miners, network timing and hash power are connected.
For me, the bigger picture is more important than the headline. Bitcoin continues to operate through a decentralized network where temporary competition between blocks can be resolved without a central authority. At the same time, the market is watching the 80000 level closely after Bitcoins recent recovery.
The next few weeks could be very interesting for Bitcoin. Network activity, mining conditions, macro news and price action are all worth keeping on the radar. I am watching this closely because sometimes the most important signals are not visible on the price chart alone. #Bitcoin #BTC #BitcoinNews #Blockchain #Crypto
