Over the past few days, the biggest problem I’ve encountered is this.
After solving it, I can finally run calmly and no longer need to worry about it.
First: after each stop-loss, the cooldown time was a bit too short. I’ve increased it from the previous 10 minutes to 1 hour.
Second: when I go short/hand back, I’m rarely entering directly in the trend. As a result, my reverse-position trades were being stopped out when swept.
Now I’ve changed it so that the reverse trade only closes positions (no new entry). I add a 30-minute cooldown. After 30 minutes, I wait for the next signal to enter.
With this approach, in a sideways/oscillating market, the number of times that my trades are swept for stop-loss in one day will be reduced a lot.
