Forward the message and add a bullish note on ETH:

*According to AP: A Republican aide said that Trump agreed to add new bipartisan ethics provisions to a large-scale crypto bill.

*Trump agreed to add provisions on ethical standards to this comprehensive crypto bill that is about to enter the voting process.

*The updated bill requires relevant parties to sell their cryptocurrency asset interests or place them in a blind trust.

In terms of market structure, the differences across the various charts are wildly large. But that’s actually a good thing, because it filters out a lot of trading opportunities—allowing you to be more selective when searching for overall better trade setups within the mainstream coins.

$ETH is another asset I want to add positions to at the beginning of next week. No matter when the next round of upswing arrives, I think we may see around 3.2K afterwards. I’d really like, if I get the chance, to sweep some liquidity to the downside first, and then add to my position.

(Pentoshi thinks ETH can rise to 3.2K, and he plans to add to his position during this week’s pullback.)

A rate hike has basically already been fully priced in by the market. I don’t think that if they truly hike rates, risk assets would crash that dramatically. But if for some reason Warsh (the Fed) doesn’t hike in two days, then before that happens, the crypto market could perform well—and (the Clarity Act) might also make progress… In that scenario, the next FOMC meeting is basically a sure thing for a rate hike, and the next meeting is in October—scheduled before the November 3 midterm elections—because September’s inflation data will be very bad (of course, assuming the Fed truly remains independent).

(RunnerXBT believes a rate hike is already priced in; even if the actual hike happens on the 17th, it won’t cause a massive crash. If they don’t hike, then it will become a bullish development.)

This week’s FOMC meeting will be very important no matter what the Federal Reserve does. If rates are kept unchanged, it will send a strong signal for the dollar’s depreciation narrative: DXY weakens, the S&P 500 makes new all-time highs, gold and BTC continue to rise, and the yield curve is likely to steepen further.

But if they raise rates, it could trigger a huge shock that sweeps across the entire market. Right now, the market is pricing in an 85% probability of a rate hike, but this expectation is not fully reflected in the market’s price action at all. A rate hike would force every market participant to reassess their own judgment: one rate hike opens the door for further hikes. Also, Warsh has been very clear that he doesn’t like forward guidance, and that will only add more uncertainty.

A rate hike would be a very bearish signal, and it would very likely mean that both the stock market and the crypto market will be topping out in phases. Next week will be a truly critical one.

(Huma thinks that if they hike rates on the 17th, the stock market and the crypto market will top out and turn down.)

Now looking at the charts: when many people discuss the weekly MA50, it sounds like it’s a resistance that Bitcoin can’t break through. But they forget to study the previous recovery rally. The chart on the left shows the current structure, and the chart on the right shows what it looked like in early 2023. Look at the green arrows on the right chart, and how many times the price tried around that moving average before breaking out. Put the two charts side by side, and you’ll see that back then, Bitcoin didn’t come to the weekly MA50 and immediately pass right through it.

I’m still bullish, but as long as resistance exists, I won’t call a breakout confirmed. As mentioned in my previous report, the lowest it could possibly retrace to is $71,000. Overall, the market remains very bullish, and I expect a final breakout above the weekly MA50.

Both paths are still possible. My strategy doesn’t rely on accurately predicting the next movement on a smaller timeframe. A retrace back to $71K followed by recovery matches my support framework, but I haven’t said this level is definitely going to be touched. My focus is still on the bigger move that runs toward $88K and even higher afterwards—this is also why I continue holding my spot positions, and why I have many orders placed around $71K, in case the market gives us an opportunity like this.

For Bitcoin, my strategy remains unchanged—most events have already been priced in by the market. If you ask for my personal view, I think the Fed shouldn’t change anything, meaning keep the current interest rate unchanged.

Keep holding the spot position. Place conditional buy orders around $71K, and watch for the weekly MA50 to reclaim/stand back above it, followed by a breakout around $83K. Once those resistances are crossed, $88K is still my next bigger target—not a deadline target that must be reached this week.

This is not financial advice—only for education and learning purposes.

(Dr.profit has BTC/Bitcoin long contracts at 71K, still holding spot long-term with a bullish bias.)

Have a great Monday.

Here’s the potential走势 for today:

It’s hard to catch a timely entry and exit when shorting at the New York open, because it’s a trade against the intraday trend. We might try shorting some altcoins, but ideally we should wait to go long after a pullback.

Unless we find a very solid trading pattern, we might skip trading session 1 and session 2. Some altcoins are in very obvious bearish patterns, but BTC and ETH are not cooperating. Even though the direction feels pretty clear and there are new short positions in the order book, the current conditions aren’t clean enough, so it’s not suitable to short.

Unless I post a trade, don’t trade today.

Let’s wait until the liquidity gets swept before looking for long opportunities. The Theta and JASMY mentioned in last week’s plan do seem suitable for shorting, but for now, let’s wait and see how the New York open plays out.

(Vivian plans to look for long opportunities after BTC pulls back; for now, it’s not suitable to short.)

7. Wave Theory — Liu Yudong

BTC Sep 14, 2026

The blue line ends—retrace for the entire blue sequence. The normal retracement range is 77,369---67,101.

Treat the blue line as wave a, the purple line as wave b, and then there will be a wave c upward.

It will rise again once things are adjusted.

A further drop is normal for the purple line, but if there’s a strong bullish catalyst, it could even start rising from 76,347.

(Liu Yudong believes BTC is currently in a pullback; after the pullback, it will keep rising.)

2. Summary

In recent days, both $BTC and $ETH have been relatively strong and haven’t broken down out of the trading range. However, going long with a heavy position at this level doesn’t make sense; shorting is even more dangerous. At 2:00 AM Beijing time on the 17th, the Fed will announce interest rates, and the price action will likely become extremely volatile. It’s best not to bet on direction—wait for it to drop, then set up positions.

For now, it’s better to trade short-term within the ranging/sideways zone; ideally, only take longs and avoid getting stopped out back and forth.

Today the Nasdaq is down 1.2%, but BTC is still trending up. This indicates that capital is returning to the crypto market—a positive signal.
