Seattle-based AI company Nuance has raised $50 million in a Series A round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Accel, Nvidia's NVentures, South Park Commons, and Define Ventures. According to ChainCatcher, the company was founded last year by three former Apple researchers and is developing multimodal AI models designed to better understand emotions. Nuance previously raised a $10 million seed round led by Accel in July last year.
