I lost 20,000. It’s time to review and awaken.
From a noodle shop owner to crypto—why I decided to publish all my gains and losses
Hi everyone, I’m Lao Wang.
Three years ago, I opened a small noodle shop on the roadside. Every day I woke up at 4 a.m. to simmer the broth, and at 10 p.m. I’d close up. I made about ten thousand a month—barely enough to live.
But I kept wondering: is there a way to earn money without relying on hard physical labor?
I tried a lot—learning e-commerce, doing self-media, getting into side projects… but I kept giving up halfway.
Until last year, when I got exposed to crypto trading.
At first I thought it was a scam—“Can a machine really help me make money?”
Later, after researching it for three months myself, I realized: this is real—but it’s also real and extremely difficult. Too hard.
When I lost my first amount of money, I was especially frustrated.
But then I thought: when I ran the noodle shop, didn’t I start by losing money too?
The shop eventually closed, but I learned a lesson: failure isn’t scary; what’s scary is not daring to openly admit it.
So I decided to do one thing:
Publish all my quantitative trading records, including my losses.
Every day, I’ll post my strategy, my profit and loss, and my thoughts;
I won’t do stock recommendations, I won’t lead people by the hand, and I won’t sell courses.
I just want to do one thing: document how an ordinary person uses AI and data to try to change their fate.
If you’re also researching AI, or you’re in the middle of a career transition, follow me.
Let’s walk this road together—at least we won’t be alone.
Starting tomorrow, Day 1 check-in.
Let’s see how long a noodle shop owner can survive in the crypto market.
