According to Sina Finance, citing Omdia, global semiconductor revenue topped $425 billion in the second quarter of 2026, setting a new record, and quarter-on-quarter growth reached a record 31.4%.
AI demand and firm memory chip prices continued to drive the market, pushing total semiconductor revenue in the first half of 2026 to $752 billion. The 31.4% quarterly increase exceeded the previous record of 29.2% in the first quarter of 2026, and Omdia said the latest four quarters since the third quarter of 2025 all posted double-digit quarterly growth. Omdia also said it expects that trend to continue in the third quarter of 2026.
