Binance announced that it will support the USDT contract swap process on the Optimism network, a move intended to keep up with the network’s technical updates and ensure service continuity for its users. $OP

According to the announcement, deposit and withdrawal operations for the USDT token via the Optimism network will be temporarily suspended starting at 02:00 UTC on September 17, 2026, to allow for the swap process to be completed properly.

It is expected that network activity will return to normal after the replacement process is completed, without requiring any action from users, as the platform will manage the update in full.

Binance advised users to follow official announcements to stay updated on any developments regarding the service resumption schedules, confirming that their funds are safe during the suspension period.

It is noted that contract replacement operations are usually carried out to improve network efficiency, reduce fees, or address technical issues—an ongoing procedure that different networks in the cryptocurrency sector periodically carry out.
