iPhone for R$ 30 thousand? In Bitcoin, Apple's new cell phone is cheaper than ever

The comparison shows that the iPhone became much more expensive in reais and dollars since 2010, but it dropped from 11,980 BTC to just 0.015 BTC

The price of the iPhone has risen a lot in Brazil in recent years. With the latest model, released this week by Apple, starting at around R$ 12 thousand and potentially reaching R$ 30 thousand. 16 years ago, the device—still in generation 4—cost R$ 1,799. But while the shock is big when we look at this price evolution in reais, for people who invest in and use Bitcoin, the iPhone today is cheaper.

Last Wednesday (9), Apple announced its new lineup, which did away with the base model and now includes only the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and the novelty, the foldable iPhone Duo. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at R$ 11,999, the 18 Pro Max at R$ 12,999, and the Duo at R$ 21,999 (which can reach R$ 30,999 in the most powerful version). Compared to the iPhone 4, that represents increases of 567%, 623%, and 1,123%, respectively.
