CoinWorld.com reports, citing a report by The Wall Street Journal, that on-chain analytics firm Bubblemaps found 19 interconnected Polymarket accounts placed 42 bets on the quarterly performance of 18 companies audited by KPMG, with 41 of the bets winning—a win rate of about 98%. The total profit was approximately $22,000, involving companies such as Wells Fargo, Home Depot, and DoorDash. The funds reportedly circulated through these accounts in a complex manner, suggesting they may have been controlled by the same person or team. However, Bubblemaps emphasized that the analysis cannot prove insider trading, and it also cannot confirm whether the account controller is the KPMG employee previously investigated by U.S. federal authorities.
