$IOST 15m This one wasn’t hit very deep—down -1.97%—but the flavor isn’t right.

Price falls + OI drops together: the 1h contract open interest shrank by 2.49%, with notional decreasing by a bit over $400k. This isn’t a typical case of new shorts entering—more like longs are deleveraging. Stop-losses and de-risking are moving together. Aggressive fills are down -20.9%, the buy/sell ratio is 0.65, and sell pressure is genuinely real. Even the close broke below the lower edge of nearly 20 of the 5m bars.

Volume is 1.79x, abnormal percentile is 89.5%, and it ranks #13 across the whole pool. The depth is there—it’s not some fake move drawn by a single needle.

I generally don’t like to catch structures like this. It’s not that nobody’s managing it—someone is withdrawing. There’s still $170M in turnover over the past 24h propping it up, so liquidity hasn’t collapsed, but when leverage is ebbing, price usually still needs to grind down a bit further.

First, watch when this deleveraging wave actually stops. If OI doesn’t stabilize, any rebound will just be an illusion.
