Two days ago I posted $ZEC here right after it set an all-time high at $1,296, and asked which level above it would get hit first: 1,300, 1,400 or 1,500.

None of them. It's at $1,092 now - 15.7% below that high, and 11.5% below the price I posted it at.

That's the honest part. Here's the part that's actually useful.

Look at the board today. Everything with real volume is red: $ZEC -10.7%, BCH -8.6%, PUMP -8.7%, TAO -8.0%. BTC sits at 76,800. SOL lost $100 again.

The only two things green with volume behind them: $MARSCOIN +22.4% and $RAY +17.5%. Neither was on anyone's screen two days ago. ZEC was on everyone's.

That's the pattern worth keeping. Attention and direction are different things. A token everyone is watching has already been bought by the people watching it - that's what the attention was. The ones nobody is discussing still have buyers left.

I'm not selling you this as a rule. It failed for me two days ago in the opposite direction, and one day is not a sample. But it's a decent reason to be suspicious of your own excitement: if a chart excites you, it excites everyone, and that part is already in the price.

US inflation data lands at 12:30 UTC today. Most of what's above is positioning ahead of that number.
