$ARK rate turns negative, down 12% yet still adding positions

Just finished sweeping the Binance futures order book—something is off with the ARK line.

Price is 0.109 USDT, 24h -12.2%. With it dropping like this, the position size is actually +8.3%: 1.1M, 1.1M, 1.4M, 1.2M. This isn’t a low-volume drift down—it’s real money, adding all the way lower. 24h trading value is $19.7M, while market cap is only $21.9M.

The shorts think they’ve won. The funding rate slid from -0.0007% to -0.0057%, turning negative and falling further. A negative funding rate is something you pay for—every minute the shorts remain in control, holding costs keep getting pushed up.

The longs also think they’ve won. Pairing a low entry with a deeply negative funding rate sounds like the fuse for shorts to cover. But after that +80% spike, how did it fall back? Covering is only possible, not guaranteed.

Both sides are staring at each other, waiting for the other to blink first. Funding rate is an alarm, not a trigger.

Watch your position cost basis, wait for confirmation, don’t rush out.

Risk warning: Leverage amplifies the move—and also the speed at which you exit.
