China's National Bureau of Statistics released a batch of key economic indicators covering GDP, inflation, trade, investment, and credit data, according to ETNet.

The figures showed second-quarter GDP growth of 4.3% and first-quarter growth of 5.0% in 2026, while full-year GDP growth in 2025 was 5.0%. August CPI rose 0.8% year on year and PPI increased 3.8%. Retail sales rose 1.2% in the January-July period, fixed-asset investment fell 6.7%, industrial output rose 5.3%, M2 growth was 7.7% at end-July, and new yuan loans fell RMB 34 billion in July. Foreign exchange reserves stood at $3.438325 trillion at end-August, exports rose 25% in August, imports increased 28.2%, and the manufacturing PMI was 49.8 in August, up 0.6 percentage point from the previous month.
