⚡ Trezor has just warned about a phishing attack targeting users after the marketing platform Brevo was compromised.
The attackers sent a fake email to 347,000 Trezor customers, using the company’s own domain to trick users into downloading an app and entering their wallet recovery phrase. Trezor said it removed the malicious domain within 20 minutes, limiting the damage to around 2,500 people who clicked the link.
Why is this notable?
This is the third consecutive data leak incident involving Trezor in a short period—after 11,742 customers were exposed via shipping partner ShipMonk and 67,000 customers in the U.S. had personal information and orders leaked.
