To be honest, there are traps hidden in unusual moves—and this structure around $AAPL actually looks even more orderly the more you look at it. On the chart, after pushing up, it didn’t immediately lose momentum and vent; the pullback was restrained, and the volume didn’t show any ugly surge-and-dump behavior. This suggests the selling pressure isn’t heavy; it looks more like a shakeout action before the rise. A lot of people see a surge followed by a drop and their first reaction is “it’s a top.” I, however, think this kind of low-volume pullback is a healthy pattern. If it were truly distributing, it wouldn’t play out so calmly. The key is whether it can hold the body range of that earlier high-volume bullish candle.

Once it stands firm here, the upside opens up. The pressure near the prior high is more psychological; the real heavy selling pressure is further above. Conversely, if the pullback breaks down and falls below the starting point of that bullish candle, then this unusual move really becomes a trap—at that time the structure will turn bad, and you’ll have to accept it. So right now the core isn’t guessing the top or the bottom, but watching how this support band behaves. On the volume-price combination, what I care about most is that during the pullback phase, the traded volume is clearly smaller than during the rally—this is a classic “scarcity of shares” signal.

As long as, afterward, another bullish candle with volume appears and absorbs the prior pullback high, the direction will be basically confirmed. At this point, the risk-reward ratio is favorable: support below is clear, and the upside potential hasn’t been exhausted. Keep a close eye, but don’t rush to chase. Wait for the pullback to confirm before acting—timing matters more than direction. I’m inclined to view the setup around $AAPL as bullish, but only if the support doesn’t break.
