🚨 WHAT IF BITCOIN HAD BEEN CREATED IN THE 1980s?

Imagine going back to 1980… huge computers, wired phones, and almost no internet.
In Brazil, the economic situation was completely different. Inflation was skyrocketing; the country was facing a massive external debt, and the currency was losing value rapidly. In 1982, inflation nearly reached 100%. In 1983, it went above 200%.
And there’s another detail: back then, the REAL didn’t even exist.
Brazil went through several currencies: Cruzeiro, Cruzado, and Cruzado Novo. In 1986, for example, 1,000 cruzeiros were converted into 1 cruzado. In 1989, three more zeros were cut.
Meanwhile, technology was starting to change the world.
Brazil had a domestic computer industry, and in 1984 it created the so-called Informational Technology Market Reserve (Reserva de Mercado de Informática). Personal computers were beginning to show up, but they were very different from today’s smartphones and computers.
Now imagine…
If Bitcoin had emerged back then and managed to survive until today, it could have become a kind of “digital gold” amid inflation and currency devaluation.
Today, Bitcoin is in the tens of thousands of dollars — but nobody can seriously calculate what it would be worth if it had been created in 1980.
Because the price would depend on something much bigger:
ADOPTION.
TECHNOLOGY.
INFLATION.
DOLLAR.
AND TRUST.
But one thing is certain:
If someone had bought a small amount of that mysterious digital currency in the 1980s…
maybe today we’d be talking about one of the biggest fortunes in history.
💰 And you?
If you could go back to 1980, would you buy Bitcoin—or would you think it was just a technological madness?
