📊 U.S. Treasury yields keep climbing despite bigger bond buybacks

The U.S. 10Y Treasury yield hit 4.856%, its highest level since October 2023, while the 30Y moved above 5.3%.

The Treasury is now repurchasing $6B of long-dated debt, but the move hasn’t been enough to ease pressure on longer-term yields.
Why the pressure?

• Rising government borrowing needs
• Higher oil prices pushing inflation concerns
• Growing worries around fiscal sustainability
• Higher yields increasing competition for risk assets like Bitcoin

WTI crude is also around $97, adding another layer of uncertainty for markets.

Bitcoin continues to consolidate around $78K as traders watch rates, liquidity and macro conditions closely.

Macro remains a key driver for crypto.
