ETH has formed a bearish divergence at the top; the trading bias is bearish.
A few days ago it surged as high as 2,566.53, but it failed to hold above that level. It quickly printed a long upper wick and then fell back to trade sideways below the 0.5 Fibonacci midpoint area, indicating extremely heavy sell pressure overhead.
Technical indicator outlook (combined interpretation)
MACD (my own model analysis):
DIF (yellow line 94.45) has crossed down beneath DEA (purple line 113.04) in a high-level dead cross.
The histogram has turned red and solid (bearish momentum strengthening). On the daily timeframe at such a larger cycle scale, a high-level dead cross together with increased red solid volume usually means bullish momentum has run out and a medium-term pullback/sideways shakeout is starting.
KDJ indicators:
KDJ is moving flat in the 60–70 high zone and then has started to turn downward. After the J line (65.45) becomes blunt, it is sloping lower and no longer has the momentum to keep pushing upward.
EMA moving averages:
Price is currently barely holding above the short-term EMA(7) (2,475.62). Once the body drops below EMA(7), the nearest support below will directly test EMA(25) (around 2,372).
Trading recommendations and direction
Trading direction: stay bearish; short on rallies (Short) / exit long positions
On the daily timeframe, rejection at the 0.5 Fibonacci level + the MACD high-level dead cross with red solid histogram is a high-probability short signal.
Short entry range: 2,475 - 2,510 (place shorts in batches based on the 2,475 Fibonacci resistance/suppression level, or enter when a smaller timeframe rebound fails).
Take-profit targets:
First target: 2,370 - 2,380 (daily EMA25 support and the recent consolidation platform).
Second target: around 2,250 (Fibonacci 0.382 strong support zone).
Stop-loss reference: 2,570 (if a candle closes and breaks above the prior needle high of 2,566.53, it would indicate a strong bullish break through the 0.5 pressure level—then you must decisively cut the position and exit).
