$BR This pullback is pretty interesting—the price has hit a recent low, but OI is actually rising.

In 15m, it got dumped straight down by 2.5%, with volume reaching 2.29× the usual level, Z value 3.6—this isn’t a slow, creeping drop; it’s a high-volume sell-off. The close broke below the lower edge of the last ~20 5m candles, and the near-range got torn open directly.

The key is OI: 15m +0.11%, 1h +0.32%—both cycles are adding. Nominal change is negative (-301K / -260K), meaning it’s not liquidations from long squeezes causing the passive decline; instead, fresh shorts are actively coming in. The abnormal percentile is pushed to 97%, ranking #2 across the whole pool. In this kind of position, being near the front in the whole pool usually isn’t retail behavior.

Active trade imbalance: -2.3%, buy/sell ratio 0.96—sell pressure is there, but it hasn’t gone to the level of one-sided crushing.

Structurally, it looks more like a selloff driven by newly added leveraged short participation. BR’s own float isn’t large, and in the last 24h it’s only around 34M. For coins at this scale, once OI and price diverge, what follows is either fuel for a short squeeze or the starting point of a trend acceleration. The level price is standing at now is already close to the historical extreme range.

I’m not chasing it myself—I’ll wait for this 15m candle to close and see whether it can get back up. If it can’t, then below is basically a vacuum.
