【You think staying sideways and not moving is a good thing? Seasoned traders tell you, this is often the dead silence before a storm】

TRX is now at $ 0.3390, treading water with no real progress over the past 24 hours; over 7 days it’s up 4.4%.

On the surface it looks fine, right? But let me say something that many people might not like—

With this kind of low-volume sideways consolidation, I’m actually even more cautious.

It’s not that I’m bearish; it’s that this very condition shows the market is waiting, and no one wants to be the first to act. At times like this, direction is usually being “chosen.” And when that direction gets decided, the people who chase in are the ones most likely to get slapped in the face.

My take is: over the next 7 days, TRX will most likely keep doing this frustrating range-bound shakeout, with a slight bias toward a pullback. ➡️ Weak consolidation.

Three reasons:

First, volume speaks. The market’s sentiment is too cautious right now. Without volume, there’s no direction. TRX is no exception.

Second, the technical levels are right there. Support is 0.331, resistance is 0.347—the range is very narrow. If it keeps going sideways for too long, it will either squeeze out a breakout, or it won’t hold and will drop back. Based on the current momentum, I lean toward the latter.

Third, TRX isn’t the lead character in this round of the market. Don’t forget it’s still down 21% from its peak; right now it’s mostly repairing, not in a primary bull leg. The hallmark of a repair phase is taking two steps forward and one step back—slow and grueling.

Some may say, “A 4.4% gain over 7 days is still pretty good.” That’s true. But if you chase in, you might not see any obvious gains for two weeks. That’s what I mean by “getting down to the practical reality”—it’s not that this project is bad; it’s just that in the short term, this kind of sideways trading is high time-cost for anyone trying to scalp.

What situation would make me think I’m wrong?

If TRX suddenly breaks out with a large volume surge above 0.347, then I have nothing to argue—I’d accept it.

Or if the entire altcoin market suddenly gets restless and TRX moves along, then I’d have to adjust my view.

But if it’s still this kind of day-to-day fluctuation of just a few tenths of a percent, and volume doesn’t expand—sorry, I’m seeing consolidation, and that view won’t change.

Do you buy this view or not? Next week we’ll come back and compare answers.
