📰 Apple finally brings its first foldable-screen iPhone Duo to the stage: a 7.6-inch internal display, a 5.4-inch external display, support for split-screen multitasking, starting at 15,999 yuan for the mainland China version, with pre-orders on October 16 and sales on October 23.

🔥 What truly surprised me is the A20 Pro. It uses a 2-nanometer process, and Apple claims its AI processing performance is twice that of the A19 Pro, as well as improved GPU performance. The foldable screen is just a change in form factor—the AI compute power is what this keynote really wants to emphasize.

💡 The Duo also uses a side-mounted Touch ID and pure eSIM, without simply copying the configuration approach from existing iPhones. Honestly, the 15,999-yuan threshold isn’t low. Most of the first batch of users will probably buy it mainly for the foldable form, the split-screen experience, and the new chip.

👀 At the same event, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max start at 9,999 yuan and 10,999 yuan respectively. They add a 48-megapixel variable-aperture main camera. AirPods 5 includes active noise cancellation as standard, and the Apple Watch Ultra 4 offers up to 50 hours of everyday battery life. This time, Apple has essentially updated nearly all the key hardware.

🤔 If you only look at the three things—foldable screen, split-screen, and AI performance—would you spend 15,999 yuan on the iPhone Duo, or stick with the regular Pro?
