$STO drops to around the short-term low and refuses to break through—this shakeout is actually getting more and more interesting: the big-account long positioning and order sizes have piled up to an overwhelming majority. The spot buy orders are pressing down on the sell orders; even when trades are initiated actively, they are mostly buy-heavy rather than sell-heavy. Large orders are still quietly taking the bids. It has nothing to do with the two words “imminent crash.” Open interest has just shrunk a bit; the weak longs have been cleaned out, and the strength of the shorts is also running out. The trend looks ugly, but the chips are all held by those who can weather it. The remaining time should be when the longs finally get to fight back—no matter how hard the shorts try to stay stubborn, it’s only stubborn words.
