In the name of Allah and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. No dealing in contracts—may Allah set you right, for it is prohibited. Gambling is prohibited. Margin trading is prohibited. I say: I do not know, and Allah is Most High and All-Knowing. This is the ruling of my Lord. This is Islam. And I say as Imam al-Shafi'i said: “I love the righteous, and I am not among them… Perhaps I may attain through them intercession. And I hate those whose trade is sinful… Even if we are equal in the merchandise.”
