Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty is lobbying senators to help the CLARITY Act pass a procedural vote on September 15. According to Odaily, Ripple said the United States has 67 million cryptocurrency holders, the industry supports 232,000 jobs, and it generates $55 billion in economic activity. The CLARITY Act aims to create a federal regulatory framework for digital assets, assign oversight of the digital commodity spot market to the CFTC, and requires at least 60 votes to begin formal debate.
