$BTC The afternoon session is still hovering at around 79,000, just grinding along. There are only a few hundred dollars between it and the 80,000 integer level, but over the past 24 hours it has only risen 0.4%. Total market cap here is also relatively weak: it fell 1.27% over the past day, and the major coins are lacking momentum in following along. The sentiment index has retreated along with the price: it slid from 74 on the 8–25 scale down to 66 today, dropping 8 points—overall optimism inside the market is clearly easing. $ETH did, however, break above $2,500 before the afternoon session, and it is moving in divergence from Bitcoin. If this line can hold, there’s plenty to look forward to in what comes next. Next, keep a close eye on the 79,000 level: if it breaks down, it would need to fall back to the 78,000 step and continue to grind; only if it stands above 80,000 should we talk about upside potential.
